Fortress Church has entered a Capital Stewardship Campaign designed to encourage, educate, excite and engage everyone at Fortress in the principles of Biblical stewardship.1. Spiritual PurposeThis Capital Stewardship Campaign is designed to:Create . . . awarenessDisseminate . . . informationEncourage . . . fellowshipBuild . . . relationshipsCultivate . . . prayerEnlist . . . ownership and commitmentAs we build stewardship into lifestyle of every disciple, we emphasize that this is not an attempt to pressure or coerce. Obedience to the will of God and a deeper walk with the Lord are more critical than the financial goals.2. Financial PurposeThe financial purpose is a journey, voluntarily taken, to discover through prayer and faith what financial gift God would have each of us contribute to the capital development needs of the church over the next 36 months.3. Campaign Characteristics The Biblical model is 1 Chronicles 29 Giving commitments will be for 36 months. Giving should only be done as a response to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Equal sacrifice, not equal gifts.4. The Campaign PrinciplesStewardship is about a deeper relationship with the LordThis is a time to solidify priorities.Each of us must determine what we are willing to give to which God has called us.Lifestyle Stewardship provides the energy and foundation for spiritual growth. It translates vision into accomplishment. 5. Campaign ObjectiveThe big picture objective is to lead each individual and each family on a spiritual journey to God’s will for their lives and how the ministry of the church takes us to that level.
